The world is what sets this movie apart. The chilly atmosphere, the cyberpunk aesthetic. It takes its time to create a setting that puts the audience in a specific mood, dark and somber - mystical and dreamy in a way. One longing for something they can never have. A protagonist that would rather be doing anything other than what the system forces him to do. Tragic villains with no time, unable to understand who they are and a simple desire to stay alive. Emotions in the eyes of someone finding out their existance is nothing more than a failure to the eyes of their maker. There is so much beauty hidden in the sadness in this movie. Who is the villain in this story? Is tragedy unavoidable in the pursuit of greatness?
